VFCache by EMC is a faster retrieval project
EMC has integrated solid state storage drive (SSD) with high speed PCIe connection for faster retrieval of the data from the storage area.
According to the company, VFCache could increase the speed by up to 4000 times than usual disk drives. Moreover, there will be 3x throughput improvement and 50% cut in latency.
EMC has still unveiled this device for the Web-based companies and high speed markets such as financial transaction systems and trading applications but it has plans to introduce its "Thunder" system for the broader market soon.

They have named it as "Shieldcroc".
“Aegisuchus witmeri or ‘Shieldcroc’ is the
earliest ancestor of our modern crocodiles to be found in Africa,” said Casey Holliday, co-researcher and
assistant professor of anatomy in the MU School of Medicine. “Along with
other discoveries, we are finding that crocodile ancestors are far more diverse
than scientists previously realized.”
According to researchers, this species can help in further studies related to prevention from extinction and protection from bad environments.

The research has been published online in the journal of The Lancet and has been supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
From SayPeople,
Researchers worked on new data and modeling techniques for the development of historical database for malaria between 1980 and 2010. They found that almost 995,000 million people died of malaria in 1980, which rose to its peak in 2004 i.e. 1.82 million deaths and again went down to 1.24 million deaths in 2010.
Researchers have also found that deaths from malaria increased from 493,000 in Africa in 1980 to 1.61 million in 2004 and then decreased by almost 30% to about 1.13 million in 2010.
