Dirithromycin

It is a macrolide antibiotic.

Mechanism of Action:
It binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria resulting in the inhibition of the translocation of the peptides.

Uses:
It is used to treat bacterial infections such as tonsillitis, bronchitis and pneumonia.
